symbion project - synthesized

life is good, tumblr.  i have fast internet again.  as a tribute to speed, i’ve decided to introduce y’all to one of my favorite techno songs.  

this song was one of the final “levels” of one of my all time favorite video games, amplitude on ps2.  amplitude was a rhythm game before the guitar hero craze.  similiar to guitar hero, your “freq,” or DJ, would travel on his little space ship on the different instrumental and vocal tracks on a song, ie. drums, synth, voice, guitar, etc.  on each track were 3 different crystals, either left, right, or center, that corresponded to a specific button on the ps2 controller.  as your ship traveled over the specific crystals, you had to tap the button in rhythm to open them.  open enough of them in a row and the track would clear for a while, giving you the opportunity to switch to a different track and start all over again.  if you want your mind completely blown, check out an awesome video of this track being played below.

i have to be in the mood for techno, but when i am, there’s nothing like that.  cranking up a thumpin’ techno track feels incredible.  to physically feel the drum beats, the bass, and the insane electronic sounds is thrilling.  ”synthesized” doesn’t disappoint whatsoever.
