video games don't get the artistic credit they deserve.

i've been playing "bastion" lately, a fantastic game developed by supergiant games- a studio with only seven people.  their small team managed to create one of the most unique and engaging games i've played in a while.  what really impresses me the most, though, is the fantastic original music.

"build that wall" starts playing as you journey through a section of the game to meet "the singer."  the singer's hypnotic voice sails throughout the area as you get closer and closer.  i dropped the controller and intently listened until the song started over again.

boy do i love this song.  sometimes a song just hits you.  i heard it for the first time today, and have probably listened to it fifteen times.  beautiful.

bravo to supergiant games for creating an awesome work of art!
