great thumbnail picture for the video, right? :| it's the only "album" version i could find on youtube. oh well.
the finale (or finally, maybe, for some of you) of today's hat trick is an awesome avett bros' song i've been listening to a lot lately, called "i killed sally's lover." like all good country music, it has a great (horrible) story at its center
country music has a funny way of addressing horrible topics in a happy-go-lucky way. this song is about murder, and i love it. how weird is that?
"somebody get my shotgun, somebody get my blade/sally been layin' with another man, he's sleepin' in my place!"
YEE HAW!
enjoy,

LOL! "gonna shoot him sure as rain." I think you should learn this song to sing at our next family gathering ;-)
HaHA!! Love it! What a happy little song about murder :) reminds me of dixie chicks earl
Made me think of Earl too..."And it turns out he was a missing person who nobody missed al all"
oh my gosh, that was such a country song! i agree with jess and susie...i thought of earl. as far as this song being about murder, i found myself slapping my leg and dancin'. it's hard to be anything but happy-go-lucky when you're listening to that kind of banjo playing!
